  1. The statement in our introductory paragraph today that Saudi air defences shot down seven ballistic missiles fired at targets in Saudi Arabia by the Huthis was based on a Reuters report https://www.reuters.com/article/us-saudi-security/saudi-arabia-shoots-down-missiles-from-yemen-one-dead-from-debris-idUSKBN1H10YB which quoted both Saudi and Yemeni sources. But according to a subsequent report https://www.cbsnews.com/news/saudi-arabia-yemen-houthi-ballistic-missiles-intercepted-videos-patriot/ by the Associated Press there is evidence that the Saudi claim, like other claims in the past to have intercepted missiles, may have been exaggerated or even baseless.
